The export step moves your finished site from Wio to the hosting provider you select. This guide focuses on preparing files, publishing them, and checking the live result.
Get the release ready
Finish content and link checks before exporting. Confirm that the pages, images, and contact paths are current, and note which version is intended for release.
Check your chosen host’s requirements for uploaded site files, domain connection, and secure HTTPS. Create a backup location for the export and keep the project’s working files separate from the release copy.
Create and keep the Wio export
Use the export workflow in the current Wio product and wait until it has completed. Confirm that the files have been created and stored where you expect them. The exact interface steps should be followed in Wio itself.
Name the release folder clearly and keep an unchanged copy. For future updates, make a new export rather than overwriting the only copy of the previous release.
Publish through your selected host
Hosting is separate from Wio. Use your provider’s instructions to upload the exported files, connect your domain, and enable HTTPS. The exact steps vary by provider, so follow its current documentation.
If you are unsure which folder should be public or how the domain should be configured, check with the hosting provider before changing settings. Keep a note of the final setup for future updates.
Verify the live website
Open the public domain on a desktop browser and a mobile device. Check that the homepage and other pages load, images display, menus and links work, and forms or contact actions reach the intended destination.
Check the secure HTTPS address and review any host-specific error or redirect. Keep the verified export as the release backup. When you update the site, repeat the export, publish, and verification steps.
